Thneedville is the town in The Lorax that Ted, his mum, Grammy Norma, Audrey and Mr- O'Hare live in. It seems to be made mostly of plastic and cement and the air is not very good.

Cooper Pedy is known for two things - Opal and Underground Homes. Here most of the houses are underground including the hotel. These homes are called "dugouts" and the houses are fashioned in such a way due to scorching temperature during day time. This underground town was established in 1915 following the discovery of opal there. It's interesting to know that ninety five per cent of the world's opal comes from this area.

The Seagaia Ocean Dome (シーガイアオーシャンドーム Shīgaia Ōshan Dōmu), was one of the world's largest indoor waterparks, located in Miyazaki, Miyazaki, Japan. The Polynesia-themed Ocean Dome, which was a part of the Sheraton Seagaia Resort, measured 300 metres in length and 100 metres in width, and was listed on the Guinness World Records. It opened in 1993, and visitor numbers peaked in 1995 at 1.25 million a year. Depending on the season, entrance cost was ¥2600 ($21.17) for an adult and ¥1600 ($13.03) for a child. The Ocean Dome was officially closed on October 1, 2007 as part of a renovation and partial re-branding of the resort. It was reopened in 2016.

The Ocean Dome sported a simulated flame-spitting volcano, artificial sand and the world's largest retractable roof, which provided a permanently blue sky even on a rainy day. The air temperature was always held at around 30 °C (86 °F) and the water at around 28 °C (82 °F) The roof of the structure was retractable in four sections.

Rik Mayall was an explosion of kinetic energy which manifested itself in a unique style of comedy that alienated those who feared life and delighted everyone else. Roald Dahl, meanwhile, was a writer of children's books who managed to conjure up worlds which were highly relatable yet, at the same time, coloured fantastically with surreal and grotesque narratives. Telling a Story with Moving Images

Animation is a process used to create motion pictures through the combination of still images (e.g., digital graphics, photographs of drawings, photographs of objects, etc.) which, when played in sequence, create the illusion of movement. All television cartoons, for example, are animations, and are made up of thousands of still images (drawn by hand or on a computer) that are played sequentially, along with a soundtrack, to tell a story.
